In addition to our in house team, DCS Entertainment also strong alliances with strategic partners and consultants who support our efforts from planning through execution of the event. Every member of our team knows that smooth execution is key and will work together to ensure that every detail is covered

ABOUT OUR Founder and Managing Director Mohan Kumar

When I started DCS Entertainment (DCS) 17 years ago, I was clowning around, literally. We were a start-up and DCS in the early days stood for Dr Clown Services. So yes I guess it would be fair to say I had big shoes on right from the get go (not sure about my comedic skills though). When you’re a clown on the ground and interacting with clients and guest, the first thing you notice is “is the person happy?”. It becomes a barometer.

In the past 17 years, DCS has grown by leaps and bounds, and our scope of services has widened. So while, I may not don clown paints and shoes anymore I still pay attention to whether the client is happy. As simplistic as it sounds, happiness is an important milestone in the event industry – it’s how we measure client satisfaction and the probability of repeat business.

Approach:

My main approach is to simply get things done and in the best way possible. This requires the ability to be open, opportunistic and measured in all that you do.

Execution:

After the initial thought, I simplify things, breaking them down into basic components. My approach has always been based on the basics of what, when, where, how and why? Once that is in place then we just have to fill in the details.

Team Dynamics:

It’s all about the people. You need to have a strong, motivated and lively set of people around. It’s about driving the culture from within, committing to the goal yourself and leading from the front. I take a strategic approach to the set-up of the team, to ensure there is a well-rounded balance between the key personality types and a harmony in the ambition of the group. A happy team leads to a happy, well executed event.
